A Story of Compassionate Care:Bringing Smiles to Students from Nepal

In June 2024, three agriculture students from Nepal, two volunteer dentists from the Netherlands and one volunteer dentist from Israel met one another at the DVI Clinic in Jerusalem. This is their story…

There were 17 Nepalese students of agriculture studying and working in Kibbutz Alumim on October 7, 2023. Tragically, ten were murdered and one is still held captive in Gaza. The student in the middle of the photo was wounded in both legs and has been undergoing rehabilitation in Israeli hospitals ever since. The three students in the photo received urgently needed dental care by these volunteer dentists. People of all backgrounds come together to help those in need at the Trudi Birger Clinic. DVI continues to treat people in Jerusalem who are affected by the war and who do not have access to dental care.
