Dr. Dorit Hermann is a pediatric dentist practicing in New City, New York, and holds an attending position at Montefiore Nyack Hospital in Nyack, New York. She received her DMD at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, and her certificate in Pediatric Dentistry at Columbia University. She completed a fellowship in Special Patient Care at Columbia as well, during which time she worked closely with the Aids Task Force. Dr. Hermann serves as a Consumer Health Advocate volunteer dentist. She regularly reviews dental records and imaging to assist CHA attorneys and health counselors in assessing dental cases (primarily for Medicaid enrollees) for potential representation in internal appeals, external appeals, or fair hearings.
Dr. Hermann is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, as well as the New York Society of Forensic Dentistry.
Dr. Hermann has been volunteering at DVI annually since 2017, and has been an AFDVI board member since 2021. Currently she serves as laiason between DVI and AFDVI with regard to clinic affairs.
Dr. Hermann has 3 grown children and lives in Rockland County, NY with her husband.
