Our dentist volunteers describe the experience of volunteering at the DVI clinic as fabulous, magnificent, and fantastic. What a coincidence, those are the exact words we use to describe them! Their selfless acts improve the dental and overall health of thousands of kids and young adults each year; giving health, healing and hope to Jerusalem’s most vulnerable. Their actions are a true example of tsedaka (charity) and even the most descriptive words can’t convey how much we appreciate what they do.
April 15th-22nd is National Volunteer Appreciation Week and we’re delighted to honor and celebrate the over 4,500 dentists, like Dr. Sandra Florez (pictured), representing more than 33 countries, who have volunteered their professional services at DVI in the past 38 years. Read her story and others from our U.S. volunteers in past e-Newsletters:

Dr. O Brings Smiles to Jerusalem by Dr. Alex Osinovsky
Caring and Embracing by Dr. Sue Gross
My Turn to Give Something Back by Dr. Joel Gelbman
Please join us in thanking our kind, gentle, gracious and fun volunteers (here’s solid proof). They inspire and motivate us, and make us smile every day!
