We wish to express our gratitude to all who supported our charity event to benefit the DVI Trudi Birger Dental Clinic on Sunday, November 26, 2017 in New York City.  A special thanks goes to the NYU College of Dentistry for hosting us in the Septodont Lecture Hall where we enjoyed an important conversation about how individuals, businesses and professionals can build trusting relationships and bring about essential change in the world and peace among disparate groups.

The panelists, Mr. Stanley Bergman, Chairman and CEO of Henry Schein, Inc.; Dr. Amid Ismail, Dean of the Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry; and Mr. Olivier Schiller, CEO of Septodont spoke about the “power of one”, building public/private partnerships, the passion, vision and commitment of Trudi Birger, and key issues facing oral health in the U.S. and around the world.  They shared their personal and professional experiences on these themes and gave us all much to think about and act upon. We are grateful for their unwavering support of AFDVI and the DVI clinic and for their leadership in the advancement of peace through the compassionate care of society’s most vulnerable.

At the conclusion of the panel discussion, Dr. Ismail was presented with the 2017 Captain Ben L. Salomon Distinguished Service Award for his contributions to the dental profession, education and international cooperation.  Congratulations Dr. Ismail!

The evening concluded with a soulful musical performance by the lovely and talented Neshama Carlebach accompanied by pianist Seth Farber.  The uplifting performance filled our hearts and was the perfect way to start the holiday season.  What a wonderful evening with friends!
