SUMMARY:Common Oral Lesions: Identification\, Diagnosis\, and Treatment
DESCRIPTION:Course Description:\n\n\n\nThis lecture will provide an enga
 ging overview of common oral lesions and their mimics through short case
  presentations. Attendees will gain insights into recognizing and treati
 ng common mucous membrane diseases\, such as Herpes simplex infection\, 
 recurrent aphthous stomatitis\, lichen planus\, lichenoid drug reactions
 \, candidiasis\, and geographic tongue. Additionally\, the course will c
 over premalignant lesions\, oral cancer\, and pigmented oral cavity lesi
 ons\, including their etiologies and differential diagnoses.\n\n\n\nCour
 se Objectives and Outcomes:\n\n\n\nUpon successful completion of this le
 cture\, participants will:\n\n\n\n\nLearn to perform differential diagno
 sis and understand current therapeutic approaches for common oral lesion
 s.\n\n\n\nIdentify lesions suspicious for malignancy and comprehend the 
 associated risk factors for their development.\n\n\n\n\nFeatured Speaker
 :\n\n\n\nDr. Renee F. Reich&nbsp\;is a distinguished oral pathologist an
 d educator from New York City. She earned her dental degree from Columbi
 a University School of Dental and Oral Surgery and completed a residency
  in Oral Pathology at New York Presbyterian/Queens\, followed by a fello
 wship in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology at the same institution.\n\n\n
 \nDr. Reich is the Assistant Director of the Oral and Maxillofacial Path
 ology Residency Program at New York Presbyterian/Queens and holds a teac
 hing appointment as Assistant Professor of Surgery\, Oral Medicine\, and
  Oral Pathology at Weill Medical College of Cornell University.\n\n\n\nA
  Fellow of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and 
 a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology\, 
 Dr. Reich is the current President-Elect of the Academy. She has served 
 on committees such as the Commission on Dental Accreditation’s Review 
 Committee on Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology Education.\n\n\n\nRenowned
  for her expertise\, Dr. Reich has lectured widely on oral pathology and
  systemic disease manifestations and is an accomplished author and co-au
