Matan, a 20-year-old soldier in the Paratroopers Unit, has shown incredible bravery during months of intense combat in Gaza. Tragically, he sustained injuries that now require him to walk with a cane. A social worker at Hadassah Hospital referred Matan to DVI, where his journey toward recovery took a significant step forward.
Dr. Stuart Shaffren, a dedicated volunteer from New Jersey who frequently travels to Jerusalem, provided Matan with comprehensive and compassionate dental care. Matan required extensive treatment, including a root canal and numerous fillings to address severe decay.
Thanks to Dr. Shaffren’s skilled care, Matan no longer has to endure the discomfort of dental issues. With his oral health restored, he can now focus on healing his leg and rebuilding his life with renewed strength and hope.
